Delete instance by pressing "Delete" button in Instances List

When I select instance in "Instances List" window and then press "Delete" button I expect that instance will be delete.
Currently nothing happens.

This would be a good improvement because it can be difficult to select the right object in the scene editor. First, the layer might have to be unlocked. And then other objects can make it difficult to select the right one. When this happens, I end up manually sliding its x or y value in the properties to put it somewhere easier to select so that I can then delete it.
