this feature does exist for torrent streaming but not for online streaming, so I would love if I can do it there too.
It helps esp with people who have internet issues so they wouldn't have to switch every single time or if the internet is limited quota or a bundle so they can watch without worrying the internet getting consumed.
Proposed Solution
Something like the torrent version is fine of course. I understand that not all streaming services have all qualities so a fallback system can be made, like a popup of sorts to ask u to pick a quality if the one selected isn't there and it would be nice to add a feature to detect if a low data mode or a metered connection is on to automatically switch to a specific quality as well
here is the setting on windows but I assume it has similar namings &/or locations in other OSs
