Contributor License Agreement (CLA)

Project: hyperfrontend Maintainer: Andrew Redican (andrew.redican.mejia@gmail.com) Effective Date: January 19, 2026

Agreement

Thank you for your interest in contributing to hyperfrontend ("the Project"). This Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement") documents the rights granted by contributors to the Project maintainer.

By signing this Agreement, you accept and agree to the following terms and conditions for your present and future contributions submitted to the Project.

Definitions

  • "You" means the individual or legal entity making this Agreement with the Project maintainer.
  • "Contribution" means any original work of authorship, including any modifications or additions to existing work, that you intentionally submit to the Project for inclusion in, or documentation of, the Project.
  • "Submit" means any form of electronic, verbal, or written communication sent to the Project maintainer or their representatives, including but not limited to communication on electronic mailing lists, source code control systems, and issue tracking systems.

Copyright License Grant

You hereby grant to Andrew Redican (the Project maintainer) and to recipients of software distributed by the Project maintainer a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to:

  • Reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute your Contributions and such derivative works
  • Use your Contributions in the Project under any license, including proprietary licenses
  • Change the license of the Project at any time without your consent

Patent License Grant

You hereby grant to Andrew Redican (the Project maintainer) and to recipients of software distributed by the Project maintainer a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to:

  • Make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer your Contributions
  • Apply to any patent claims licensable by you that are necessarily infringed by your Contributions alone or by combination with the Project

Exclusive Rights Assignment

You hereby assign to Andrew Redican (the Project maintainer) all rights, title, and interest in and to your Contributions, including but not limited to:

  • All copyright and related rights
  • All patent rights
  • All trademark rights
  • All rights to create derivative works
  • All distribution and sublicensing rights
  • The right to enforce these rights

You acknowledge that Andrew Redican has sole and exclusive decision-making authority over:

  • Whether to accept or reject any Contribution
  • How and when to incorporate Contributions into the Project
  • The direction, roadmap, and management of the Project
  • Licensing decisions for the Project
  • All aspects of the Project's development and distribution

Your Representations

You represent that:

  1. You are legally entitled to grant the above licenses and assignments
  2. Each of your Contributions is your original creation (or you have rights to submit it)
  3. Your Contribution submissions include complete details of any third-party license or other restriction of which you are aware
  4. If your employer has rights to intellectual property that you create, you have received permission to make Contributions on behalf of that employer, or your employer has waived such rights

Disclaimer of Warranty

You provide your Contributions on an "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or implied, including, without limitation, any warranties or conditions of:

  • Title
  • Non-infringement
  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose

No Support Obligation

You are not expected to provide support for your Contributions, except to the extent you desire to provide support. You may provide support for free, for a fee, or not at all.

Notification of Changes

You agree to notify the Project maintainer of any facts or circumstances of which you become aware that would make these representations inaccurate in any respect.

Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the Project maintainer's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Project maintainer regarding your Contributions and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings.

How to Sign

By clicking "I agree" on the CLA Assistant interface or by adding your GitHub username to the contributors list, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Contributor License Agreement.
