Saving a site as a Blueprint

What

I just saw the video about adding a Blueprint site and very much like the new feature which I look forward to trying out.

The next step to make it even easier creating a Blueprint would be to save a site as blueprint.

Why

Create a site and saving it as a Blueprint would making Blueprints a lot easier. As one could setup various aspects of a site. Themes, plugins, pages, posts, various settings etc. Save it as a Blueprint and the next time one goes to create the identical setup is already in place.

Taking it a step further

One could even move the Blue Print feature into a backup feature. As suddenly one can begin to create multiple backups using a more advanced BluePrint feature. Having a kind of versioning history of a site.

Would you expect that the exported Blueprint includes all media, posts, pages, and options? If yes, would you clean it up from unnecessary data after the export?

I would expect the Blueprint to be an exact copy/clone of the stage the site is at when the Save as Blueprint button is clicked.

I see the process like so.
Let's say I setup the site. Create some standard pages such as frontpage, about us, contact etc.
Go through the WP settings screens. Adjust language, time format, location add a favicon. Set front page under Reading. Click the checkbox to discourage search engines be off. It should be off when creating a local site.
Perhaps other WP settings.

Add various plugins.

After the basic setup is in place I would click to Save a Blueprint.

If yes, would you clean it up from unnecessary data after the export?

At the moment I would just take a Blueprint right after the initial setup has been created with pages and plugins etc, so that I can use it as a template for future sites. If I later on added another Blueprint then I would likely add a cleanup database plugin etc and clean up the best I could then take a new Blueprint.

If I go further then it would be nice with a backup feature where I could at the same time cleanup the site and remove orphan or other database entries that are not relevant any longer and then back up the site.
