Hello and thanks for this awesome viewer, one of the few strong enough to play 100FPS gifs correctly.
I'm hoping an option to "overscroll", or to pan the image beyond the bounds of the image itself is possible. Sometimes it is a little tedious to pull the window around to make sure you're not missing a pixel on the very bounds of an image.

Additional context
It would let you do things like this if it was implemented, not halting you on image bounds:

Would the following suggestion be what you are looking for?

In the image pane place a 20 pixel (for example) border around all 4 sides of the image. The border would be filled with the background colour. If the image is the same size as, or smaller than, the image pane (minus the border), the border would show the background colour. If the image is zoomed larger than the image pane, the border would show the additional contents of that part of the image in the border, but as translucent or semi-greyed out data.

I think it's a super graceful way to zoom into and out of images quickly and I've become addicted to it.
Blender's image render view is like this for example.
Some image viewers get close, but almost all of the ones I have tried on linux constrain the image to the windows' center if zoom or the image is smaller than the window, or sometimes just randomly reset position on certain zoom levels and then unlock it, which almost defeats the point.

Edit: Qview has stopped lagging for me under =xcb, not sure why. It's a viable viewer if you want this now
