Just wanted to share some quick thought in my testing of APV codec.
Latency was less than x265. On local LAN, I saw about 6 frames with 2K DCI SDI RGB12L. That is about half what I see with x265.
Bandwidth for 2K DCI RL12L and a qp=~45, averages were in the 300 mb/s range. This was the best balance of quality and size.
I did not test color fidelity on a scope.
4K was un-realistic to use at an acceptable quality do to very high bandwidth requirements.
Overall, the reduction in latency was great, but the bandwidth requirements make it un-realistic for our streaming scenario in which the endpoints are often on residential internet.
