PRISMA (VE11E) Issue When Pushing Multi-Echo BOLD images to our server

Hi,

We push all our image data to an in-house secure server for our clients to download.
We recently began running a study that includes multiple runs of the CMMRR multi-echo multiband sequence which is configured to use 5 TE's.
This generates a lot of data and we can only transfer the images to our server when the scanner is not in use or else we get an error and/or Syngo freezes up.
Is there any workaround for this? We anticipate using the multi-echo BOLD more and more and this issue may limit what we can do.

Do you mean just standard DICOM transfers? That sounds like a system issue, like maybe your host computer is failing. I have never heard of such issues even with more demanding protocols on VE11C/VE11E. On XA30 the story is more complicated, but DICOM transfers alone are not that demanding and should never throw errors or lock up the system no matter how many images.

You could ask service to rebuild the image and/or exchange DBs as a first troubleshooting step.

I spoke with Siemens tech support and they agree with you. Coming tomorrow to rebuild the DB. I'll report back with the results once it is done.
