Very strange opening behavior of the pretrained nets #5

Hello,

first of all thank you for this very interesting followup project of maia1.

At the moment I try to add a UCI wrapper to your inference code in order to be able to play giants maia2 in a chess gui (like our picochess project ;-) by just selecting the predicted move with the highest probability.

both pretrained nets (rapid and blitz) do have a very strange opening behavior: They often move their knights back and forth (Nf6, Ng8, Nf6 etc.) without developing any of their own pieces or moving a pawn:

White (human): e4
Black (maia2): Nf6
White: d4
Black: Ng8
White: Nf3
Black: Nf6
White: Bc4
Black: Ng8

Could this be a bug (I can't imagine that lots of lichens games exactly did this so often!?)?

Do I have to change some parameters (I got this behavior for different ELO levels).

Or is it because the nets do need more training?

Are there any bigger (Better!?) nets for maia2 somewhere I could test with?

Anyway - thank you so much for your work!

Thanks
Dirk
