Description
I found a critical issue in this widget:
when pressing the Shutdown or Restart buttons, the system powers off immediately without showing KDE’s confirmation dialog.
This behavior breaks KDE’s standard session-handling logic.
Expected behavior
When triggering shutdown or restart, KDE Plasma normally shows a confirmation dialog (logout menu).
If there are unsaved changes (for example, in Kate), the application should display a dialog asking whether to save the file before closing.
Actual behavior
Pressing the Shutdown or Restart button in this widget immediately powers off the system.
No KDE logout confirmation dialog appears.
Applications with unsaved changes (like Kate) never show their save-before-exit dialog, because the shutdown is forced instantly.
Steps to reproduce
- Add this widget to the panel.
- Open any application with unsaved data (example: Kate with an unsaved file).
- Press the widget’s Shutdown or Restart button.
- The system shuts down immediately with no warnings or dialogs.
