Demographic:
21 year old Computer Science student attending San Diego State University
He is using a Thinkpad laptop and iPhone. So he uses Apple photos and Google photos to store all his media.
Goals:
Free up storage space to run his CSCI 411 project and store his code changes before the due date.
And save important screenshots from labs and personal pictures.
Needs:
To be able to view photos that may have duplicates across Apple and Google.
Be able to see which device a photo is currently stored on/saved to.
Pain points:
Constantly having to get reminders of full storage.
Not knowing where his videos or photos may be.
Possibly having to pay for more cloud storage space for redundant media.
Homework Stress
Davd Kim forgot that he has homework due for his CSCI 411 course this weekend. He has two days to try to complete the project, so he is a bit stressed but he can crack this out in time. However when he tried to pull down the starter skeleton code that his professor provided his system says that he doesn’t have the memory to download the code. His majority of storage is for his media, he has a lot of screenshots. So he needs to be able to sort and erase photos that are backed up to another device to free up the space on his machine to work on the code locally. He can’t pay for more storage because he only has $8 in his bank account until he gets paid in 4 days. He is going to have to take time to manually confirm that the videos and photos he is getting rid of to clear up space are not important or are already backed up somewhere else. This cuts into his critical time for getting his assignment completed on time.
