Claude Code CLI Crashes Immediately on Launch

Installed Comfy-Pilot and when launching ComfyUI, the Claude Code CLI shows a green dot (MCP working) but the terminal crashes immediately. I cannot type anything into it and refreshing it simply crashes it right away.

Details:

• Windows 11
• Claude Code 2.1.45
• Terminal starts then immediately WebSocket disconnects
• claude.exe works fine from CMD directly

I found a workaround for Windows using WSL2.

The embedded terminal and MCP auto-connect don't work on Windows, but since ComfyUI is a web app, you can run Claude Code inside WSL2 (Ubuntu) and connect to Windows-hosted ComfyUI via HTTP. Claude Code automatically detects the IP and sets up the MCP connection.

I have the same problem with comfy-pilot not connecting to the Claude Code terminal. MCP is registered in ~/.claude.json and Claude runs in the ComfyUI built-in console. I installed pywinpty. I set COMSPEC = C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe. The green light for MPC in the terminal window is on but attempts to connect with the button reports "Terminal Disconnected" after flashing "connecting Terminal". It looks like the problem is that in init.py the terminal is completely stubbed out on Windows.
