CPU usage really high

In our setup, we forward around 150 msg/s from one varnish machine.

The problem is, the log2gelf daemon uses more CPU than varnish itself and varnishncsa. Can I provide any useful debug information to improve the performance?

Currently we need to scale up the machines because of this, and this is silly.

Here are some ways to profile Go programs.

I would guess the JSON parsing/writing is the performance bottleneck. This is a known issue for the Go project and could be improved by using an alternative JSON library:
