RPi5 no longer supports RPi.GPIO

RPi5 no longer supports RPi.GPIO so I wonder if you have any plans to update the example so that it works for RPI5?

Thanks for pointing that out. I wasn’t aware of the RPi.GPIO issue on the Raspberry Pi 5, as I don’t have that model for testing.
I’m planning to update the example to use rpi-lgpio, which is compatible with all Raspberry Pi versions, including the RPi5.
I’ll roll out the updated version soon.

Thanks for looking into this. Just a heads up, there could be a potential issue with identifying which version of lgpio is running on the system. I will post more info if I find it!

From a user/maker perspective, it seems that Raspberry Foundation is recommending that beginners (makers) use gpiozero https://gpiozero.readthedocs.io/en/stable/ and that advanced users use lgpio directly. I've also seen comments that suggests that rpi-lgpio might not be the best option. GPIO has become a real mess on RPI5 :/
