autotools needs better error messages if a required package is not installed #213
Description
checking for GnuTLS... ./configure: line 14485: syntax error near unexpected token `GNUTLS,'
./configure: line 14485: ` PKG_CHECK_MODULES(GNUTLS, gnutls,'
configure: error: ./configure failed for libratbox
This happens when pkg-config isn't installed. This should be caught somehow.
