EPI Server SEO Sitemaps not following Paths to Avoid

Hi, I have added a handful of Paths to Avoid in a new sitemap but I’m still seeing them when I click View. Am I missing a step here? Any insight would be helpful.

I am trying to remove these paths from the sitemap because pages with those parameters should not be indexed, I put a NoIndex tag on them but keep getting errors saying page submitted in sitemap has NoIndex and just want to take care of the error at the source.
