Unable to edit topic slug when the path to it is long

I tend to customize the slugs for each topic from the default. For example, for a topic called "Adding a widget", the default slug is adding-a-widget and I change it to something like widget-adding.

On the Edit Page panel, the Slug field contains a non-editable version of the path to the topic, followed by the editable slug for the topic itself.

When the path to the topic isn't long, this works fine.

However, when the path is long, there is no way to get to the editable portion to make any changes. The bit of white at the right isn't clickable.
