12-hour event times use 4 lines in simple event list

When "Use 24-hour time format" is disabled and the simple event list view is chosen (or selecting a day from the monthly view), the event times use 2 lines each (with the am/pm indicators on new lines) instead of 1 line each, despite there being sufficient space.
