Structure renderer flickering

Describe the bug
After loading and clicking show structure in the jupyter notebook vLab4Mic_main, whenever the view is updated the whole image disappears and reappears rendered in the new position.

To Reproduce

1. Launch the notebook
2. Run first two cells
3. Select Virus capsid structure
4. Show structure with 8000 atoms
5. change one of the views

Expected behavior
The structure should update but the whole image display should not flicker (disappear and appear again).

Setup

• Notebook run directly on VSCode using a clean conda env with just the package installed (current version on main branch)

This also happens on the third notebook cell, likely will be present on any matplotlib widget
