Fantastic little tool.. i only need the 5 items i had in the quicklaunch bar under windows 10 .. this is ideal for my workfflow. The thing that would even be better (for my workflow) would be to be able to have it pinned on by default.. now it is one extra click.. but if there would be a possibility to set "pin menu" by default.. so i dont have to show the icon and i would be able to open it and pin it by default.
I meen the function where you click on the little pin symbol at the bottom right of the menu.
thanks for the great work!
Hello @DaKrampus
Thank you for your feedback!
i understand that you want that pin option, which temporaly can be enabldd via click on the pin icon, as default and always. I considered this when i was implementing thaz feature and came to the point that i need it only rare times in special situations, basically for debugging and it stays then open xD. ok i use it also in other short moments. But i never needed it always, for always it disturbed my workflows. Better is normally using it via keyboard using the hotkey to open, then type first letter of your item and press enter. Maybe compare the options via mouse and hotkeys and see if your workflow can be faster in that way. Of course it would be possible to implement if you can convince me with the use case that it is faster ;-)
Hope that helps, let me know about your toughts.
Hello Markus thank you very much for your reply..
I understand your point and it is clear that the hotkeys are pretty fast.. and very useful, it depends the way you work.
Example i am working on a 3D model in sketchup.. i actually use the menu to replace the quicklaunch toolbar in win 10.. with my left hand i am on the phone with a colleage.. he wants me to send a screenshot.. so i need the snipping tool.. its in the open menu.. also once the screenshot done.. i go on show desktop (i have the icon in the menu..) and open outlook.. or whatsapp (also there). I only have five items in the menu. its always there.. in sketchup or other programs i dont need the bottom left of my screen. i just pin it on the first time.. it pops up. But i found out, if i disable the pin button.. the whole menu with its 5 lines is 2 lines shorter and takes less space with the button bar disabled.. so it was an idea. as i am running 3840x2160 resolution having it pinned on without the button makes it even smaller. It takes the space of 1 icon on the desktop. But i can live with it as is..
as an alternative without touching the settings i could imagine the pin being somewhere else.. in the pic this would be the aspect with out without the line.. as you can see it takes less space and can always be there open. as on the 32 inch screen its just the size of an icon.
As for the pic.. of course i have the icons on the desktop.. but when the application is full screen i cannot access them.. that is when the menu is really great. and if its always there its even better.
