competing algorithms can be removed

this repo is really about algorithms. thus competing algorithms that we (Thomas) implemented should be removed. this also makes the list of algorithms more clean

You mean SMC/FSM/HBD? I did not include them in the --help output, do you want them to be removed from docs/readme, or also remove the code? I think that would still be interesting for reproducible results
