POC: KiloCode + Git Provider Integration

Overview

I would like to create a proof of concept integrating KiloCode with git provider (VSCode extensions) to enable context-aware development workflows. This POC would focus on a GitLab integration.

Objective

Enable KiloCode to:

• Detect git provider (starting with GitLab extensions)
• Identify active repositories and their state
• Adapt prompts and suggestions to guide users through provider-specific workflows
• Provide context-aware recommendations directly from the AI interface

Key User Journeys

Journey 1: Existing Repository

• User opens VSCode in a directory with an existing repository
• KiloCode detects extension, repository state, and current branch
• KiloCode offers contextual suggestions (e.g., "Create feature branch?", "Commit + Push")
• Guides user through: branch creation → implementation → commit → push → merge/pull request

Journey 2: New Project Setup

• User opens VSCode in an empty directory
• KiloCode detects git provider extension and offers initialization
• If accepted, guides through: git init → remote project creation (via GitLab extension exposed command) → remote setup → initial commit → feature branch workflow
