Since gauges are not a block nor a sign. I think we need some stuff like this
Annunciator Panel which is a gauge block and has 3 states (on/amber/off) maybe more if it could be

Since nixie tubes logic is already present a flush wall mounted one will be beneficial too

And as a way to check or indicate output of some kind of complex logic mounted single color or multicolor (like dual or triple) pilot lights
Could enable user to create a proper dashboard (indicator wise)
but for actuall control room stuff we need 1/4 of the size button/lever/hold button (for logic which works after holding button for certain amount of time) and analog lever or preferably a small itty bitty horisontal dial which could work but clicking or holding RMB and scrolling mousewheel (it could also house custom amount of numbers or pictograms from unicode like arrows or symbols)

Since create is already integrated well with other mods and redstone by default
Those blocks if could control redstone would enhance complex designs both for VS2 (it would be a miracle if it would work right of the box) and stuff from CROWNS enjoyers like myself to create entire SCADAs and control panels to control factories/reactors

If only there was a way to use minecraft font (like sign does) to create glowing text which reacts to pending or actuall factory gauge signals it would mean that we could create bioluminescent/fluorescent display panels

I think it is possible by using stuff related from minecraft signs at base but creating an inveted mask over it and making transparency/hue by RGBA or just using texture atlas of blocks like copycat does iirc
