Wrong DES footprint

I'm trying to use Skyproj to plot the DES footprint, but it appears that the footprint is for DES Y2, not Y6.
Could you please add Y6 to the package as well?

I don't understand the question. The footprint is the "final" footprint as far as I know. https://github.com/LSSTDESC/skyproj/blob/main/skyproj/data/des-round19-poly.txt

Well, that's not correct.
This is what the code plots, while the final footprint is slightly different. especially on the southbound.

@BehnoodBandi what is the origin of your footprint, and why do you believe that it is correct? As far as I'm aware, the round19 poly is the update to the footprint from 2019 when the survey finished. I can't tell for sure, but the footprint that you posted look like older version (maybe round13?) before the terrible observing conditions in Y3 that forced the survey footprint redefinition.

One good check would be to plot the density of sources from DES DR2 on top of your footprint. Looking at the map in the DES Y6 Gold paper, I think it is showing the round19 polygon (along with some extra foreground masks from Gold)
