Branch management #576
Description
- master is a development branch for some reason, which is unstable and should not be the main branch
- v2.4-stable is outdated
- v2.4.8-windows-support does not have some contributions made by the community
Proposed action plan is to create 'main' branch from v.2.4.8-windows-support and append the missing contributions made by the community, and set as main branch instead of master
