File this under "Duh. oops." It's easy to miss.
After successfully loading MatterControl v2.0 and Mono on Ubuntu 20.10, the software just sits there not doing anything. Open the software, and you get a black box.
Grab the side of the box and resize it, then everything loads.
It's a bug with Mono according to tech support. Thanks for the quick help! That was too easy to miss.
