The deadline to complete the AI Enabled Developer Training has been extended to 9th February 2026 — take your time and focus on understanding the concepts properly.

After completing the training, please proceed with the AI-Enabled Developer Skill Assessment.
This assessment validates your learning and your ability to use GitHub Copilot effectively across the SDLC. Passing the assessment earns you Microsoft accreditation.

I am using my university internet eduroam which usually runs download speeds of about 12mb/s, but the virtual PC on the skills assessment page is literally running at 0.2 frames per second.

So, it has been about 50 minutes out of the 2 hours I was given, and I haven't really been able to do anything apart from signing in to the microsoft account with the given credentials. It's almost impossible to complete the assessment at this rate, so I have to cancel the assessment instead of submitting an incomplete one, but the website says I can only re-attempt the assessment after 72 hours.

But now the deadline for the assessment was today, should I do the 72-hours wait and retry? (considering it was an issue with the internet speed, and may not end up like this next time?)

Thank you for explaining the situation—this definitely sounds frustrating, and we understand the difficulty.
Since the issue was technical and not on your side, you can cancel the current attempt and reattempt the assessment after the 72-hour cooldown period. That will not affect your standing.

There is no strict deadline. You may complete the assessment at your convenience and share it any time before 28th February 2026. In case of an unsuccessful attempt, you can reattempt the assessment after 72 hours, with no restriction on the number of attempts.

Thank you for the generous deadline! I have completed the assessment on my second attempt as of today, and shared the certificate via email as instructed. I am very thankful to you for your guidance and mentorship. It was really a great experience.
