Usage of LCD displays via LiquidCrystal_I2C

Hi,

I would like to add a LCD display to the arduino controlled by telemetrix.

Just like this but via telemetrix:

I have seen that I2C is supported. But I'm not sure what to do to drive a LCD via I2C
Should the library https://github.com/johnrickman/LiquidCrystal_I2C reimplemented based on telemetrix?

If some suggestions / guidance is available I would also like to integrate myself the lib
https://github.com/johnrickman/LiquidCrystal_I2C into telemetrix...
