cuQuantum Benchmark Suite (cuquantum-benchmarks) v0.1.0 is released!

Hello cuQuantum users, we are happy to share that we have just released the first version v0.1.0 of NVIDIA cuQuantum Circuit Performance Benchmark Suite 🚀

With this release, we offer a command line tool cuquantum-benchmarks for users to

• specify the target benchmark with --benchmark (9 benchmarks are offered as of v0.1.0; to be expanded in the future)
• create the circuit either with Qiskit or Cirq via --frontend
• specify the target CPU or GPU backend (that is compatible with the frontend) via --backend
• specify the backend-specific options, such as the number of CPU threads, number of GPUs, etc
• run the benchmark to collect CPU/GPU elapsed time
• store the generated circuit and the benchmark result (as json files) in disk

It can be easily installed by cloning this repository as follows:

$ git clone https://github.com/NVIDIA/cuQuantum.git
$ cd cuQuantum/benchmarks/
$ pip install .
$ cuquantum-benchmarks --help

This benchmark suite works either without or with our cuQuantum Appliance container. For further information please see the benchmark project README.
