<p>Today we went over the basics of programming and how to make simple games using Scratch. In Scratch, we showed a demo of how to make a simple ball move with a certain set of parameters. We then had everybody work on a maze project as outlined in the presentation.</p>

<p>Look over the presentation and create a Scratch account (you will need an email address to sign up). Try to follow the presentation as best you can (the presentations are mostly just visual aids, so if you have any questions, feel free to <a href="/cdn-cgi/l/email-protection#89eae6e7fde8eafdc9f9fbe6e3eceafdeae6edece6e7eca7e6fbee">email</a> us) and look at some of the tutorials on the Scratch website.</p>

<p>We covered a lot during each one of these lessons. On April 27, we introduced everyone to Python and how to use it. We also wrote a basic "Hello World" program using Python. On May 11th, we introduced variables, and on May 17th, we introduced control structures.</p>
