This issue is created to request or track the migration of the report_async module to Odoo 18.0.

Purpose of Migration:

The report_async module is crucial for improving user experience by allowing large report generation to happen in the background, preventing browser timeouts and allowing users to continue working without interruption. Migrating this module to Odoo 18.0 is essential for:

• Ensuring its continued functionality with the latest Odoo version.
• Supporting new implementations and projects running on Odoo 18.0 that require asynchronous report generation.
• Maintaining the overall stability and utility of the reporting-engine repository within the OCA ecosystem.

Current Status (as far as I know):

• The module is currently available and functional for Odoo 17.0.
• I have not found an existing migration issue or Pull Request for 18.0 for this specific module yet.

Call for Contribution / My Availability:

I am willing to contribute to this migration effort. I can:

• Help with testing the migrated module.
• (Optional, if you plan to do the migration yourself): Take the lead on the migration process if there's no ongoing effort.
