Summary
Among other things, having a free Internet means being the owner of our data. Today, we call databases full of information about us and our online behavior "walled gardens". This thread aims to start a conversation on if we should and how we could access all the data we've ever generated in any canister on the IC.
Questions
- Are there security or any other reasons why this shouldn't be a feature of the IC?
- Is update access valuable, or just read/query (i.e. delete or edit remotely, and perhaps allow individual apps to set these permissions)?
- Is there already a map of the canisters each identity has authenticated with? Created data on?
