OpenMANET firmware for HELTEC HT-HD01

That may not be needed if the board has Batman and 802.11s mesh support. I think it would be difficult to test on these devices, and reflash if the device gets bricked. I'm not sure if there is UART port on the device.

@lukicweb I have a pair of HT-HD01 on the way. I will be testing the default firmware to see if we can get 802.11s and batman-adv working on it. If it works, I will add it with other devices to future docs.

I will also get a better idea if its possible for us to have an OpenMANET build that supports it in the future.

One thing to note is these boards have a very small amount of flash. I think its 2MB, but maybe a bit bigger. I have installed alot of USB drivers on my build, to try to add some generic support. We could strip that out if needed.

I will get an inventory of the drivers and packages installed on the OpenWRT install from the factory for comparison.

Any progress on the HT-HD01 boards?

Did you get access to the system?

Do you have pictures of the PCB?

Is there UART available for debugging?

Did you do coverage tests?

We do not have a build for the HD01.

• The software is OpenWRT most likely a fork from Morse Micro. Heltec would not give me a copy of the source code.
• The device does have a pretty limited amount of flash memory, so we are limited on what we could include with it.
• I have not disassembled one yet. Most likely it would destroy the case to get into it.

I intend to crack the case on one of mine, I can provide photos when I do it if that helps. I was really hoping the OpenManet project could be ported to them as soon as I realized they run OpenWRT.

My question is about HT-HC01P https://heltec.org/project/ht-hc01p/ This modules cheaper than seedstudio and simpler to buy. Are you planning to add them? I think it won't be difficult, they're almost the same as the Wio-WM6108.

We have not tested these. While it is the same mPCIE form factor as the Wio-WM6108 it is not clear if it is using the same pinout on the mPCIE.
