“Unsupported display firmware” warning after reverting to Elegoo firmware

I attempted to install display_firmware to evaluate whether it was compatible, but subsequently reverted to the original Elegoo firmware. After boot, the display now reports the following error: “WARNING: unsupported display firmware.”
However, the firmware version is unchanged. I also reinstalled display_connector, but the warning still persists.

What display firmware version do you have?

I am currently running the original Elegoo display firmware, version 1.2.18.
When I initially installed display_connector, I didn’t notice any warning on the display.
I then installed display_firmware out of curiosity, and after reverting only the display back to the original Elegoo firmware, the warning appeared.

The printer itself is running OpenNept4une, and everything else works correctly.

It's likely a bug after installation of the very experimental display firmware feature.
