Since Update to 1.7 all USB devices are pretty unrelibale #394

Hi there,

I updated my Neptune 4 Pro to OpenNeptune 1.7 (I flashed the eMMC again and did basically a fresh install).
Since then it seems like I have Issues with all USB devices.
I have a simple old usb 3 hub connected to my USB port. On this hub is a WebCam and a Wifi dongle. All of them has worked flawlessly on 1.5 before for almost 2 years.

But something changed, because since the update the following is happening regularly:

  • the printer takes at least twice as long to boot
  • the performance of my WebCam is way worse (almost half and even with low resolutions and low fps (I tried several of them).
  • my wifi connection sometimes break and will not come back unless the printer is restarted (USB unplug and plug in again will not help)
  • If I use the openneptune commands via ssh it seems that all of them have become slower.

So all in all it feels like all of the stuff is running on a single CPU now instead of a 4-Core. Or something needs way more resources than before.
Maybe this is an Armbian issue, because it seems that the whole system is affected?

I have everything up to date with the latest main branch at the moment. (But I will try to use the dev from now on, because I saw all the affinity changes)

If I can help somehow or provide some more information let me know.
This firmware was awesome for the last 2 years and I want this experience back :)
