Feature request: Provide Support for Ingress kind objects

Most of the applications use the default Ingress object because IngressRoute CRD is not always provided by 3rd party charts.
Traefik supports Ingress objects in Kubernetes with the appropriate ingressClassName.

kind: Ingress

  ingressClassName: traefik

Any change you also support default Ingress Kind, using annotations for the Operator?

That is a nice feature to have. Could you contribute through a PR? We would certainly appreciate that. As long as it has the relevant tests and follows the general structure (i.e. implementing an IngressReconciler and the necessary plumbing to make this configurable).

If you could provide that we can take up further maintenance of that code.
