Service freezing & Other Issues w/ Playback

I'm running synctube on railway. A few issues I've been encountering over the few months are as follows:

When a (non-leader) user leaves, the video may stop playback, when a user resumes, it restarts from 0.

Synctube will cause the browser tab to not-respond. Sometimes it recovers, sometimes it does not.

Extended plays, such as a movie, can have issues past 1.5 hours or so. Freezing, all users have to refresh or open synctube in a new tab.

Videos can play for some users, but others see the video as not playing, but the timer goes up like it is.

Black screen for supported mp4s, requiring users to try multiple browsers to play it. Some browsers begin playing it later in this case.

Unfortunately, I don't have logs for these, but my container doesn't seem to produce log events for these.

Also shuffling causes browser issues and playback issues, but that's more that we can have 2k+ videos. That's a skill issue.

Are you talking about 2k items in playlist or 2k+ video resolution? And are you using SyncTube internal http server for mp4 files streaming or stream videos from external links?

1. Do you have custom config.json related to leaderOnPause/unpauseWithoutLeader and what browser can trigger it if you know? I can try to reproduce this with part of your config.

2. If tab is not responding because of js code, browser should show "Page is not responding. Debug / stop script" panel or like that after stucking for 1 minute, and clicking "debug" in that panel will open dev console where js script stucks and shows stacktrace of dead loop. This would help in detecting cause of this problem.

3, 4 , 5) That's seem like client network issues, if you're not talking about full page freezing. Clients need to cache high quality videos fast enough to stay up to timer. Temp solution is do leader-pause if you're still loading video and wait for some seconds to cache. If it doesn't cache video in progress bar fast enough, this is slow network on client side or on server side.

Also different browsers support different set of video codecs/containers and we can only rely on a default browser video support for a web app. Maybe i can log to chat if current browser doesn't support specific format, if you have link to problematic videos and know browsers where it's broken.

If you can record like 1 minute clips of synctube page to preview specific problem (while opening console on shift-ctrl-i hotkey, in case of with freezing bugs, to see if there is js exceptions with stacktraces), that would help in undestranding full context and reproducing such bugs. For example recording 1) bug if he's is not rare, or other common ones like clicking shuffling with open console / waiting for "debug script" button after page freezing, etc.
