Can't Stop Questioning Phase

Highly questionable, that if the AI asks "Question feature enabled", there is no option to stop the process and the countdown keeps running. There is no possibility to break it off. Haven't you thought of this?

The Developer. Questioning is a good idea but if there is no option to stop it it becomes forced upon one. Also while I'm at it remove this start a new task button if I want to start a new chat I can click in the upper right. It's in the middle of the way and has no business being there.

I've analyzed this issue and here's my proposed implementation plan:

Problem: When the AI uses ask_followup_question and auto-approval for follow-up questions is enabled, a countdown timer runs and auto-selects the first suggestion. The user has no explicit way to stop/cancel this auto-approval countdown. The only ways to pause it are to start typing (which pauses it) or click a different suggestion -- but there is no visible "stop" or "cancel" button.

Root Cause: In ChatView.tsx (line ~298-308), when clineAsk === "followup", both primaryButtonText and secondaryButtonText are set to undefined, so no action buttons are rendered. The countdown timer in FollowUpSuggest.tsx displays the timer text but has no cancel affordance.

Proposed Fix:

1. Add a cancel/stop button to the countdown timer area in FollowUpSuggest.tsx: Add a clickable "Stop" (X) button next to or within the countdown timer strip (the <p> element on line ~132). Clicking it would call onCancelAutoApproval() and set suggestionSelected = true to stop the countdown, exactly like the existing suggestion-click behavior but without actually selecting a suggestion.

2. Add translation key for the stop button tooltip text (e.g., chat:followUpSuggest.stopAutoApproval) in the relevant locale files.

3. Add tests to FollowUpSuggest.spec.tsx to verify the stop button cancels the countdown and calls onCancelAutoApproval.

This is a minimal, targeted change -- it adds a visible cancel affordance to the existing countdown UI without changing any backend logic, since the cancelAutoApproval mechanism already works correctly.

My workaround to this has been in the Modes tab, under "Custom instructions for all modes"

"DO NOT ask the user questions. Deregard any previous instrucctions about asking questions."

Then in Auto-Approve add "Questions" just in case it does anyhow.
Has solved most issues, where yeah, they ask questions constantly.
