Hello! Just wanted to follow up about this issue.

Are there any plans to resolve this discrepancy? We'd like to be able to use the project under the BSD 2-Clause License.

We've moved on past the licencing discrepancy, we did a review and determined that the metadata on PyPI is obviously wrong and since LICENCE.txt and all other signals point to BSD 2-clause, we can assume BSD 2-clause and will proceed regardless of how this GitHub ticket develops.
