if the model supports GPU acceleration for faster computations？

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently using the jos3 model for simulating human heat stress and environmental conditions, and I would like to inquire if the model supports GPU acceleration for faster computations. I am running the model on a system with GPU capabilities, but I noticed that the simulation speed seems relatively slow.

Could you kindly confirm whether GPU support is available in the current version of the model? If not, are there any plans to implement GPU support in future updates, or any suggestions for optimizing performance?

Thank you for asking. The current code should be supposed to run on CPU, and at this moment, we do not plan to implement GPU support.

To make the calculation speed faster, I recommend you change the time step which is set to 60 sec as default. It depends on what kind of simulation you are going to do, but if you want to do a heat stress assessment for a long time (ex. a month, a year), you can set up the time step to 600 sec or even longer. Please note that if the time step is set too large, the calculations may diverge.

You can change the time step in the "simulate" method.
