I’ve noticed that most audio players (such as podcast and music apps) use 10-second rewind and fast-forward intervals, which feels ideal when you miss something or get distracted. It’s easy to tap the button two or three times if needed, whereas 30-second jumps often feel like overkill for my use cases.
Pocket Casts, for example, uses a 10-second rewind and a 45-second fast-forward, which has worked well for me. That said, I rarely use fast-forward, and from a UX perspective, having both controls set to the same interval (±10 seconds) seems the most intuitive.
