@veil-devs @veil-team 🎯 PROPOSAL: Native P2P Marketplace Inside the Android Wallet – End Exchange Dependency Forever  #1048

@Rgringo

Description

@Rgringo

Hey devs! First, huge props for keeping VEIL alive – the F-Droid wallet is rock-solid, staking works, and the privacy stack is unmatched. But let’s talk about the real bottleneck: exchanges.

TradeOgre is gone.

Nonkyc sold me RYO at 3x market price via brutal slippage (and blamed me).

ProBit? Might as well not exist. Zero volume, delisting risk at any moment.

Exchanges are the Achilles’ heel of every privacy coin.

Regulated, pressured, unreliable, KYC-heavy, and anti-privacy by design.

What if VEIL took the step no one else has?
Build a native P2P trading layer directly into the Android (and desktop) wallet, with:
On-chain order matching (fully anonymous via stealth addresses)
Automatic multisig escrow with timelock (no trusted third party)
Support for VEIL, BTC, XMR (or privacy stables like wXMR)

Simple UX: “Sell 10k VEIL for 0.005 BTC” → match → confirm → release

All inside the wallet – no external site, no KYC, no APIs

âś… THE RESULT?

VEIL becomes the first truly private, exchange-independent cryptocurrency.
Immune to delistings
Immune to regulatory pressure
100% aligned with the project’s philosophy
Organic liquidity from the community itself
Monero has Haveno (decentralized P2P, still in active dev). Bitcoin has Bisq (but it’s clunky).

No one has native P2P trading baked into a mobile privacy wallet.
This isn’t just a feature.
It’s a product revolution.
It’s what turns a privacy coin into a digital sovereignty movement.

Question to the team:
Have you considered this? Is there interest in prototyping?

The community can help with design, testing, even funding via a staking pool.

Let’s build the future that exchanges will never allow.
