Lost functionality when forking the repo

First of all, thanks for this great template. I forked the repo via the 'use this template' button and deployed it at henkjongbloed.github.io . I only made some small modifications to the _config.yml file. However, on my site the plotly functionality (under the tab 'Guide') and the light/dark mode toggle button do not work anymore, and a menu button appears at the upper right corner. On the academicpage.github.io page, these issues are not present. Am I missing some dependencies perhaps?

The henkjongbloed.github.io URL seems to be redirecting to https://henkjongbloed.xyz which could cause some issues if the configuration isn't setup correctly.
