showAutocompleteOnFocus = true not working with autocomplete promises

I'm trying get the autocomplete to show up on focus when using promised data for the autocomplete, but it's not working. It's also not working on the examples http://aethermx.github.io/ember-cli-bootstrap-tokenfield/
