What ECC Is
ECC is a system for helping AI coding agents work more like your team. It packages real project knowledge into reusable skills, rules, hooks, commands, security checks, and configuration patterns so tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, and related agent harnesses can operate with better context and safer defaults.
What ECC Tools Does
ECC Tools is the hosted GitHub App for bringing that system into real repositories. It analyzes commit history, architecture patterns, test habits, deployment steps, migration workflows, and agent-related configuration, then opens a pull request with project-specific outputs such as:
- Skills and workflow instructions
- Rules and command scaffolding
- Hook and MCP configuration guidance
- Identity and install manifests
- Selective package recommendations instead of all-or-nothing installs
- Security and harness audit results powered by AgentShield
Hosted Workflows
- Issue-comment commands:
/ecc-tools analyze,/ecc-tools setup,/ecc-tools audit,/ecc-tools doctor,/ecc-tools repair - Pull-request checks for risky changes to agent configs, hooks, rules, MCP settings
- Selective ECC rollout with exact package selection, dependency resolution, and safe uninstall planning
- Repo-specific skill suggestions and lifecycle inspection
Why Teams Pay For It
- Private repository support: Use ECC workflows on internal codebases
- Hosted PR automation: Generate pull requests, comments, and check-runs directly inside GitHub
- Security scanning: AgentShield-backed audits on hooks, agent configs, MCP settings
- Selective rollout: Install only the packs a repo needs
- Operational safety: Manifest-driven setup, repair, and uninstall planning
