Add UGreen DP to HDMI adapter to amdgpu VRR whitelist

This adapter supports VRR but it requires whitelisting in the amdgpu driver. The patch has already been submitted to the amdgpu mailing list.

This would enable 4K 120Hz with VRR, HDR and CEC on AMD GPUs, with this adapter. Don't want to hype it up but it looks very promising. I will test this as well, as soon as my adapter arrives.

I'm pretty certain it's the same chip. They do advertise VRR conpatibility on its german amazon page

I ordered this adapter and also have the 6' cable version. Both appear to use the same chipset. EDIT: Another user confirmed that the adapter linked above uses the same chipset and VRR functions with the ID added to the whitelist. I don't think anyone has tested the 6' cable yet, but I'm happy to do so if the whitelist makes it to testing.

It's also interesting that the cable supports DSC and advertises 4K 240 Hz. My MSI 321 URX can do 4K 240 Hz 10-bit RGB over DP with DSC, so there is no reason to doubt this claim. In addition, on my LG C4, this cable achives the TV's max refresh of 4K 144 Hz at 10-bit using DSC. In contrast, the Cable Matters 8K DP to HDMI adapter (VMM7100 chipset) will only do 4K 120 Hz and requires a custom firmware to offer stable Freesync VRR.

It might be based on VMM7100 as Ugreen had a few VMM7100 adapters

I actually do have a VMM7100 adapter - namely this Cable Matters DP to HDMI adapter. That cable will do 4K 120 Hz 12-bit RGB but doesn't show an option to use 144 Hz on my LG C4. In contrast, the 6' UGreen cable listing explicitly states DSC support, lists 4K 240 Hz in the description (which requires DSC), and does 4K 144 Hz 10-bit with DSC on the LG C4. In any case, I look forward to testing both once once VRR is possible.
