Closing a tab with Ctrl+W doesn't refresh the sidebar.

A closed tab with Ctrl+W hangs around in the sidebar until you interact with another tab.

This seems to not be a consistent behavior though it happens more often than it doesn't. I can't seem to work out the conditions under which it does from usage. A race condition perhaps?
