Make sure you're on the latest stable or beta build

  • I have tested this on the latest stable or beta release

Is this a bug in companion itself or a module?

  • I believe this to be a bug in companion and not a specific module

Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues

Describe the bug

When I use Companion Satellite on a Pi 4 running Satellite version 2.2.2 connected to an instance of Companion 3.5.4, the connected surface will freeze intermittently. A Windows machine in the same environment can run Companion Satellite 2.2.2 without issue. I have reproduced the issue across two different Pi units with two different SD cards, one of which was brand new. I was using the pre-made Satellite Pi image maintained by Bitfocus.

The Raspberry Pi still responds to pings while the problem occurs.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Flash the Satellite Pi image on the Bitfocus downloads page to an SD card and run it on a Pi.
  2. Wait.

Expected Behavior

Companion Satellite should run on a Pi indefinitely and without interruption.

Environment (please complete the following information)

- OS: Raspbian
- Browser: Firefox ESR 128
- Companion Version: 3.5.4

Additional context

This is my first ever bug report. I don't see a way to pull a log that's specific to Companion Satellite. 2.2.2 is the latest stable release of Satellite but 3.5.4 is not the latest stable release of Companion.
