Deprecation Notice

Hi!

Saw the deprecation warning from this gem and wanted to say that we do use it in a production application (https://civicdb.org) and would love for it to continue to live on!

Obviously, if it represents a large burden on you as a maintainer we can just vendor the code or fork it or whatever but wanted to reach out and say it is in fact still used (and to thank you for creating it!).

Hello! Oh, that is quite unexpected as I honestly wanted to archive the repo by the end of 2025 (as there were no reactions so far) :) But as long as this gem is still utilized (and literally for the greater good), I guess it's too early to put it to rest. Can't say I use Rails much these days but maintaining this solution should not be a big problem. As long as we don't receive any new feature requests, keeping it in a maintenance mode should (hopefully) suffice.

Deprecation notice removed in #56 so I guess we can say this gem is in passive maintenance mode now. Thanks for the feedback!
