PDB exports are corrupted on XDJ.

On XDJ-XZ, the database produced is corrupted.

I was wondering the same, as my CDJ-2000NXS2 had the same behaviour; it loaded as if the tracks were only copied to USB directry and showed up as folders.

Any way we could be of assistence?

I'm working on an exporter myself (rhythmbox to XDJ) and currently only missing waveforms and artwork.
Once everything works it will be easy for this project to compare with my codebase and get a valid export too.

Oh that's amazing! I was actually trying to use Traktor Bridge as Traktor works better in Wine than Rekordbox, but this would completely remove such need. Thanks!

Have you considered contributing to Mixxx/rekordcrate too? They are aiming to do similar work, also in Rust

I'm still doing the very tedious work right now.
As soon as the DeviceSQL export is perfectly working and documented, anyone can take over ! I'm still having some integrity issues that are size-dependant and I want to understand completely, so that the export is rock solid. Then i'll finalize the Artwork and Waveform part.

I'm sure many people would benefit from this, especially Linux users who are neglected by Serato and Pioneer. Mixxx has a github issue open for this feature, I dropped a comment so maintainers keep an eye on my repo.

It seems that (at least) my XDJ-XZ ignores the ANLZ path, and uses a dynamically computed one, which forces the reverse engineering the Pioneer's hashing algo to place the ANLZ files correctly.

Edit: it's clearly not md5.

Found the algo by decompiling Rekordbox.

Are you sure? I still can't seem to get it to work on my CDJ-2000NXS2 (use rekordbox notification upon USB insert). Have you been able to test it succesfully as-is now?

Yes. It's validated against Rekordbox 5 and an XDJ-XZ.
What are your Cargo logs and command line used ?

Yeah sorry @micapam, I had zero interest in this project and just came to see if they actually cracked the Pioneer blackbox, and discovered they did not. It was mostly AI slop/guesswork on the exporter.

But it's absolutely legitimate to keep this open.

Plus, now that I actually wrote an exporter capable of producting valid pdb and ANLZ, it'll be easy to write a functionnal exporter to this project.

I'm actually working on 2.1 release, yes I use AI, as all here, but I'm coding since my 13 years old on Amiga with ASM, Amos, later PHP, MySQL, etc I 've strong skill in Mysql and C#, Python is more recent for me and it's why I'm using AI to help me sometimes! the code in repo was preview code, I cleared, fixed and progress on PDB and ANLZ, I build tools (with AI help) to comp / diff PDB and reverse it.

The doc was writed by human, reviewed with AI for my english writing, to be clear.

I checked a lot of repo and Mixxx code to help me in my quest :)
