What do you think about using openCV instead of nox's macro?

I'm wondering whether if it is possible, and whether it is incredibly difficult to use something like openCV to search for images of buttons to click on in king's raid.

I'm an incoming info systems student and thought that this might be a cool way to learn how to do stuff like computer vision.

What are your thoughts on this?
